We stand behind every certified refurbished pipette we sell. The warranty is straightforward: if the instrument fails to perform within spec, we repair or replace it — no runaround. One condition: keep it calibrated.
Volume delivery out of specification
If the instrument fails to deliver within ISO 8655 tolerance at any volume point, we repair or replace it at no charge.
Mechanical failure under normal use
Piston, shaft, ejection mechanism, and seal failures that occur during routine laboratory operation are covered.
O-ring and seal degradation
Seal wear that causes volume error or air leakage is covered when the instrument has not been exposed to incompatible solvents.
The Bio Matrix warranty is valid for 180 days from the purchase date, provided the instrument is maintained in calibration — annual recalibration by Bio Matrix or a certified calibration laboratory.
This isn't fine print designed to escape claims. It reflects how pipettes actually work: an uncalibrated instrument can drift out of spec from normal use, and there's no way to distinguish drift from a pre-existing defect without a calibration record.
A pipette that was calibrated when it left us and is calibrated when a claim is filed gives us — and you — a clean record. If it's out of spec, we fix it. That's the deal.

Ship the instrument to us
We'll provide a return shipping label. Pack the instrument securely — same way it arrived.
We evaluate and respond
Our technician inspects the instrument. If the failure is covered, we repair or replace at no charge. If not, we'll give you a clear explanation and a repair estimate before doing any work.
On manufacturer warranties
New pipette warranties from major manufacturers routinely exclude calibration drift, user error, and "consumable" components — often leaving little that's actually covered. Our 180-day warranty is narrower in duration but clearer in scope. You know what you're getting.
